For these and many other reasons, the SSI Open Water Diver course it's exactly what you are looking for; the best of globally recognized teaching, combined with our instructors, will allow you to become a safe and aware independent diver.
What are the course prerequisites? Certainly you must be in a good general state of health, you must also have good swimming skills and be at least 10 years old (if you are aged between 8 and 13, ask at the Diving Center about activities for the little ones and about licenses and specialties reserved for Junior Divers).
In how many days can I get my diving license? Flexibility is the watchword for all SSI courses, it all depends on your time availability, but normally a PADI Open Water Diver course requires 5 to 6 days.
How is the course carried out? After a quick demonstration of your aquatic and swimming skills, you will begin to become familiar with the equipment and with diving in confined waters where you will carry out 5 series of activities, each of increasing complexity; these five confined water activities are gradually supplemented by 4 open water dives. In addition to carrying out the activities in the water, you will have to follow the explanations and demonstrate that you have learned the topics of 5 distinct theoretical modules. The course ends with a series of 2 dives with your instructor in open waters at a maximum depth of 18 meters and a theoretical exam.
